JCPenny In In The Most Peculiar Way

So, JCPenny seems to really like the Sleepy Rebels.
First using their "Kaleidescope" song for the 2009 Father's Day campaign then most recently with their "Unbelievable" song.
Girls, give your agency producer a raise.
The Sleepy Rebels' song "Unbelievable" reeks with commercial appeal. But don't hate. Imagine walking into a dive bar and hearing this song. Can you really say you wouldn't have thoughts of product imagery floating past your heads? Albeit, skulls with hearts for eyes and bats with rainbow wings, but alas, Lisa Frank is retired.

Unbelievable Lyrics:

This all is too good to be true
I must be seeing things today
Cause everything keeps happening
In the most peculiar way, hey
In the most peculiar way, hey

It may be unbelievable
But it happened just that way
You came into my life
And now I want you to stay
It may be unbelievable
But it happened just that way
You came into my life
And now I want you to stay

Could it be my destiny
The way it all came into place
Cause everything keeps happening
In the most peculiar way, hey
In the most peculiar way, he

It may be unbelievable
But it happened just that way
You came into my life
And now I want you to stay

Kia Just Can't Seem to Get it Right Today

I always do this, and theres usually some hot guy at the pump next to me who I can just assume is thinking: what is this idiot girl doing? She doesn't know what side of her car the gas goes? Ridic.
Jorn Haagen with Believe Media directed this charming spot and Rob Sciarratta from CO3 created the subdued color palette which adds to the overall "Awwww"ness of this spot.
But, really; Joe Purdy kinda stole the show as this song can't help but make you stop mid lunch break bite. Hi, I just can't seem to get it right today? Right, cause no one can relate to that.

If you like this song you may also like:
"Easier" from the Paris in the Morning album
"Suitcase" from the Only Four Seasons album

p.s. this M.F. is entirely self released. Holy making it happen, Joe. Full on.
